SolidNature X Sabine Marcelis X WE ARE ONA

During Art Basel Miami Beach, SolidNature collaborated with Sabine Marcelis and immersive culinary studio WE ARE ONA on a spatial dining installation that united architecture, materiality, and gastronomy. Presented at Andaz Miami Beach, the project transformed the venue into a sculptural landscape where natural stone, light, and color shaped a multisensory experience. The collaboration embodies SolidNature’s ongoing exploration of how stone can move beyond function to become a catalyst for atmosphere and narrative.

Immersive Dining Installation

The installation centered around a series of monolithic tables designed by Sabine Marcelis and realized in close collaboration with SolidNature. Orange onyx, pink onyx, and a soft cream travertine were selected for their luminous qualities and natural depth. These stones were paired with custom colored glass featuring subtle gradients that echoed the tonal transitions within the material itself, creating a seamless dialogue between surface, light, and reflection.

The composition formed a continuous architectural gesture that guided the flow of the dining experience. Each element was conceived as part of a larger spatial choreography, where guests moved through an environment defined by material richness and restrained precision. The project demonstrates how natural stone can be orchestrated as an experiential medium, adaptable to hospitality settings, cultural installations, and bespoke architectural commissions.
