The Lanesborough Hotel & Spa is one of London’s most iconic landmarks and is a picture of luxury, serenity and tranquility. Throughout the pool area, lobbies and treatment rooms, natural stone adorns the walls and floors in large format tiles alongside beautifully crafted mosaic border detailing to create a seamless bridge between wet and dry areas.
1508 London were specific in their brief to create a serene and calm environment for which Cream Vanian marble, Ibiza Limestone and Gold Strike Onyx feature heavily. These neutral materials create a floating like effect across the floor areas in the lobbies and treatment rooms whilst also acting in stunning contrast to more striking Breccia and Relampago marble used on the walls and columns within the Spa and changing room areas. Mosaic borders, and floor inlays.
Each space and functional setting has it’s own unqiue character, signature materiality and beauty; each flowing intuitively and harmoniously together.
In the Treatment space the large ‘ibiza limestone’ tiles are blended with small ‘white romance onyx’ squares to produce a mosaic floor pattern and create continuity with the rest of the club. There are also very large onyx tiles used on the floor, with a stroke of brass around.

Specific attention was paid to a unique fluted detail on columns and panelling within the treatment areas in the Spa that were handcrafted from solid block pieces of marble.
